SAN FRANCISCO – June 24, 2008 – Exent Technologies, a global market leader in enabling the creation of a broadband-based 2nd release window for PC and video games, has secured an agreement to increase the library of Ubisoft® titles available for Exent-powered Games-On-Demand services in North America. Titles include highly acclaimed Ubisoft franchises such as Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six®, Prince of Persia®, Far Cry®, Rayman® and Heroes of Might and Magic®.
Leveraging its EXEtender™-powered digital distribution services, Exent offers licensed, engaging content to end-users, through a variety of service providers and media companies. Companies operating Exent-powered services, working with Exent’s content aggregation, can easily add new titles to their offerings without having to approach publishers for rights.
“We are pleased to have extended our access to Ubisoft’s large array of titles, allowing us to maintain an attractive content offering to our customers and end-users to continue our rapid growth in the Games-On-Demand space,” said Zvi Levgoren, CEO, Exent Technologies.
Exent Technologies’ Games-on-Demand services offer a unique chance for publishers and game developers to increase revenues by reaching new demographics, extend titles’ life span, create demand for new titles and overcome limited shelf-space.
“Extending the program with Exent allows Ubisoft’s hit franchises to continue reaching consumers even after they are no longer available on retailers’ shelves,” said Andy Swanson, senior director of strategic sales and partnerships, Ubisoft. “Exent’s Games-on-Demand service is a fresh way to reach new audiences and keep our award winning back catalog active by capitalizing on key distribution channels.”
