EXENT TECHNOLOGIES JOINS EUROPEAN CONSORTIUM TO DEVELOP NEXT GENERATION MIDDLEWARE FOR ASP AND ISP’s

Bethesda, Md., September 24, 2002 - Exent Technologies, the leader in Applications-on-Demand, announced today that it will be leading a new project for the European Commission called ASG-NG (New Game). The objective of ASP-NG is to research, develop and implement high performance middleware for ASP’s and ISPs. The solution will work for both broadband and narrowband deployments. The new platform will integrate all the required functionality for running an ASP operation and enable the delivery of productivity tools and rich content, in a secure environment, to end users. Key partners in the consortium include RESEARCH ACADEMIC COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE ("CTI") from Greece, UNIVERSITAET STUTTGART (USTUTT) from Germany, AZERTIA from Spain, UNIVERSITY OF ABERTAY DUNDEE (UAD) from United Kingdom and PLANET MEDIA GROUP, a subsidiary of KPN from The Netherlands.
