EXENT TECHNOLOGIES EXPANDS ITS APPLICATIONS-ON-DEMAND
PLATFORM TO CORPORATE MARKET
Signs license agreement of industry leading Applications-on-Demand
technology with Fujitsu
Bethesda, Md., May 28, 2002 - Exent Technologies announced
today the expansion of their Applications-on-Demand (AoD) platform
to include software used primarily by the professional and corporate
environment and marks the company's entrance into the Application
Deployment and Management (ADM) market. Exent also announced a license
agreement with Fujitsu allowing them to market the ADM product. The
ability to stream applications for a business environment will enable
uniform software distribution across all employees, eliminate the
need for installation and configuration for each personal computer,
and centrally manage upgrades and rollouts. Additionally, it will
provide for a central method of software license auditing and management,
and prevent illegal copies of the application.
"Up until today we have primarily focused on the consumer market
for our EXEtender product and have had great success with our
clients in rolling out the technology," said Zvi Levgoren, CEO
of Exent Technologies. "The expansion into the corporate market
is a natural growth opportunity for our firm and a great way to help
organizations take advantage of our streaming technology."
In addition to the corporate environment, the Exent technology platform
can be used by Independent Software Vendors as a tool to offer their
own products as trials, provide built in software licensing, offer
rent-to-own software, and serve as an Application Service Provider
(ASP) for their products. As an ASP the technology provides a highly
scalable platform to support user demand and variety across a number
of applications or software programs. Finally, the technology solution
puts the processing on the end-user's desktop allowing for better
control of overall bandwidth costs.
